Our Services

Little Sunshine Long Day Care is a privately owned service offering high-quality long day care and preschool programs for children aged 8 weeks to 6 years. The service operates with a daily capacity of up to 27 children, ensuring a nurturing and personalised early learning environment.

Our service operates year-round, excluding public holidays, from Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm. As a family-owned and operated centre, we are committed to providing a warm, nurturing environment that feels like a home away from home. We actively engage with the local community to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Our core focus is to support each child’s wellbeing through a consistent, healthy, safe, and secure environment.

Infants

(8 weeks – 2 years):
Our infant program focuses on building secure attachments and nurturing each child’s individual routines, including feeding, sleeping, and play. Educators provide a calm, responsive environment that supports sensory exploration, early communication, and physical development.

Toddlers

(2 years – 3 years):
The toddler program encourages independence, social interaction, and language development through play-based learning experiences. Educators guide toddlers in exploring their environment, developing self-help skills, and expressing emotions in a safe and supportive setting.

Pre School

(3 years – 6 years):
Our preschool program prepares children for school by promoting early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills through intentional teaching. Children are encouraged to build confidence, curiosity, and collaborative skills in a structured yet engaging learning environment.

About us

Our Goals and Beliefs

The centre places strong emphasis on fostering children’s natural curiosity and love for learning. Operating within a mixed-age group setting, we provide opportunities for children of varying ages to interact, play, and learn together in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

At Little Sunshine Long Day Care, we understand the important role we play in your child’s early learning journey. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering a caring, secure, and stimulating environment where each child feels safe, supported, and valued. Through ongoing professional development, our educators build strong, trusting relationships that nurture every child’s sense of belonging. Our learning environment is designed to support children’s growth and development, encouraging them to explore their interests, build independence, and reach their full potential. We believe that play is the foundation of learning—children are empowered to lead their own learning through hands-on experiences, collaboration with peers, and opportunities to share ideas and resources in meaningful ways. We also recognise the diverse needs of families and aim to provide a flexible and reliable service. Our extended hours help support working parents, giving you peace of mind knowing your child is in a nurturing, high-quality early childhood setting.

Our outdoor environment offers children the freedom to explore, climb, run, dig, and discover the natural world around them. These experiences help develop gross motor skills, resilience, risk assessment, social confidence, and a deep appreciation for nature. Whether it’s balancing on logs, riding bikes, tending to the garden, or engaging in imaginative play, the outdoors is where curiosity and physical development come to life.
