It is not enough that they know how to care for children; we want them to want to take care of children. Little Sunshine team are committed to encouraging and supporting the growth of each and every child in our care. For our Little Sunshine educators this isn’t just a job, but it is a responsibility and a privilege to work in this field.

Our Curriculum

Our room’s philosophy is in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which we use in our daily interactions with the children and in our programming

There are five Learning Outcomes in the EYLF which form its framework:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity.
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
  • Children are confident and involved learners.
  • Children are effective communicators.

Our goal is to enrich the children’s learning and their future lives in partnership with you, their family.
For Preschool children, we have designed a curriculum that is meant for young children to learn with hands-on experiences, we want our children to feel secure going into kindergarten, our curriculum would prep children to enter Kindergarten with just the right amount of skills. They will be exposed to concepts through play activities and experiences. They will start to become familiar with academic concepts but will do so in developmentally appropriate ways. These skills are the foundation of all future academic abilities.
